ELELS: The East London and Essex Liberal Synagogue

A New Synagogue for a New Era

Bringing Together the Stepney Green Community

WEB East London and Essex Liberal Synagogue (ELELS) was formed in January 2017 as a merger between two existing synagogues: West End Great Synagogue and East London and Essex Liberal Synagogue. The synagogue is located at Temple Court, 52 Rectory Square, Stepney Green, and has quickly become a vibrant and welcoming hub for the Jewish community in the area.

ELELS offers a wide range of services and activities, including weekly Shabbat services, daily minyans, and a variety of educational and social programs. The synagogue is also home to a thriving youth group and a cheder (Jewish religious school). ELELS is a warm and inclusive community, and all are welcome to join.
