A frustrating night for MacKenzie Gore leaves the Nationals at a loss
The Nationals dropped their third straight game on Tuesday night, falling to the San Diego Padres 3-1.
Gore was charged with three runs on six hits and three walks in 4 1/3 innings. He struck out six batters, but he also hit two batters and threw a wild pitch.
Gore's outing was a continuation of his struggles this season. In six starts, he has a 6.08 ERA and a 1.63 WHIP. He has walked 16 batters and hit five batters.
The Nationals have now lost five of their last six games. They are 12-21 this season and in last place in the NL East.
