Early Life and Career

Stephen Allen Schwarzman, born on February 14, 1947, is an American billionaire businessman who is the chairman and CEO of the Blackstone Group. Schwarzman began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1970. He left Lehman Brothers in 1985 to co-found Blackstone with his former colleague, Pete Peterson.
